1. Definition

News item text is text that tells an important event or event in a form that resembles news, or is worthy of being made news.

2. Purpose

The purpose of news item text is to inform the readers about newsworthy events of the day. Usually, news item text will provide information about the latest/current and factual events. That way, people can always be updated about the events in a place.

3. Structure

The generic structure of news item text consists of three parts, namely main event/newsworthy event, background event/elaboration, and source.

Main event/newsworthy: The main event/newsworthy event is the core of the news. The main event explains the summary of the news to be explained.

Background event/elaboration: Background event/elaboration tells in detail about the background of the incident. The details you should include in this section are the perpetrator, location, time of the incident, other parties involved, and the background of the incident.

Source: When writing news item text, don't forget to include sources. The sources can be statements, comments, or opinions from parties related to the event.

What: What were the problems that occurred during the coldplay concert?

> Scam of dozens of people who bought coldplay tickets through twiteer.

Where: Where the concert will be held?

> The concert will be held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium.

When: When did the incident occur?

> On May 17, 2023.

Who: Who rejected Coldplay's concert in Indonesia?

> Indonesian conservative group, PA 212 (Persaudaraan Alumni 212), Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Anwar Abbas.

Why: Why Coldplay concert was rejected in Indonesia?

> Because according to MUI Deputy Chairman Anwar Abbas, the Coldplay concert will damage morality in Indonesia. This is motivated by Chris Martin, one of Coldplay's members who supports LGBT.
